i’m sumi! i’m a socially-engaged designer and artist based in Boston, MA originally from Queens, NY.

my work is rooted in the belief that art and design are powerful catalysts for joy, social change, and community building. drawing from my sociology and civic design backgrounds, i love creating immersive digital and physical experiences that encourage interactivity, play, and unexpected connections. as a chronically online 90s baby, much of my work is tinged with the best bits of internet nostalgia.

in my free time, i host a monthly creative gathering called Coloring Club, overanalyze my astrological birth chart, and rave about why Queens is the best borough to anyone who’ll listen.
